  2. I think I've read that Borges book, it's a series of lectures he gave about Anglo-American literature; very good, full of his usual love for literature, and a good beginner's guide to literature.

  3. I think it's long because it is a bilingual edition. But the Spanish version is quite long too. Perhaps too long to be covered bilingually in 766pp. Could some editing have taken place? Or are they just eliminating overlaps with Tres and Romantic Dogs?

  4. Tom, most likely it's a bilingual edition. There are 400+ pages in the Spanish edition.

    Miguel, that seems to be it. I'm currently reading the "essays" part of Labyrinths and loving it.
