  1. Glad more Aira is coming out in English, but I just finished my first dud by him over the weekend (will be rereading La prueba to see if I've misjudged it). Do you have a favorite and/or least favorite by him at this point?

    1. Richard, you probably read it right. Translator Chris Andrews said it's the most flabbergasting though it's a favorite of his; he compared it to a B movie. The only Aira with a film adaptation too.

Favorite Aira so far: The Hare
      Least favorite: Varamo

    1. Richard, you can always interpret the pledge in another way. You can buy the book in stores but you're not saying you buy into what the book is saying. So, pledge is kept intact. Haha.

  3. This post seems to have cornered the market on Richards. Good job appealing to the brightest, most charismatic, and most handsome members of your vast international audience, Rise--it's much--but humbly--appreciated!

    2. I was going to add suave, but the deep humility Richards possess stopped me.

    3. LOL. The humility of the Richards is quite ... humbling.

  4. November? I've got a copy in Spanish. Now the question is whether to wait for the English or just go ahead and read it ...

    1. Eric, a favorable situation in any case. You're at least 8 months ahead millions of us if you read now.
