After ordering a book from The Book Depository, I watched their live streaming of what books are being bought where.

They can be addicting. Buying and watching.

    Hi, I found your blog via a Google search. I want to read Bolano's work. Do you have any suggestions of a good "read this first" book?

    You can actually start anywhere. Even with the big guns (The Savage Detectives and 2666). But if you want something shorter, I think the best places to start are Last Evenings on Earth, By Night in Chile, and Distant Star.
